MadebyGeorgiaMai was founded on July 15th 2016 to help stop stigma and raise awareness for mental illness through hand made items by Georgia Steed, a now 26 year old Graduate from Manchester School of Art based in Hertfordshire, England.
Georgia had battled with her own mental health for 10 years and wanted to inspire and empower others who had felt the way she had. By the beginning of 2019, MadeByGeorgiaMai had developed into a Positivity and Wellbeing brand, welcoming anyone who needs a pick me up or wants to send a little bit of love, happiness and colour to someone who needs it. Everything available at MadebyGeorgiaMai is handmade with love! Not long after this change of direction, MadeByGeorgiaMai became a haven for people to feel united by the struggles they had been through. A safe space to share and make friends and a community that spoke openly about the things people needed to hear.
No longer only focusing on physical products, MBGM is now a space where people can grow in a positive way and use the brand to start a conversation about mental health, positivity, wellbeing and everything in between.
